This winter just goes on and on doesn't it? I thought we were over the worse of it and bang... another snow shower and a postponed game, this time in the Northern Rail Cup.
I must admit I was looking forward to heading over to Dewsbury's less than palatial surroundings this afternoon.
Sadly overnight snow has ruled out the clash with several inches of the white stuff on top of the Rams field covers and messageboard stories emerging about match referees being snowed in (although I'm sure some would playfully say that's a good thing).
What this does mean is that the Centurions, and probably several other teams, will face the prospect of three games in a week at some stage in the very near future. I await with interest to see if other games will also fall the same way and get added to the postponed list.
Although not ideal, perhaps the postponement is a blessing in disguise, afterall it gives Leigh in particular more preparation time for the visit of Barrow Raiders in the Championship.
