Thatto Heath, Siddal, Wath Brow, Ovenden and Wigan St Judes were just some of the names to make it into Tuesday night's Third Round draw for the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
Both of Leighs amateur teams, Miners and East won through with solid performances at Hull Dockers and Rochdale Mayfield respectively while the Challenge Cup dream is still alive for Pennine League amateurs Drighlington who knocked out National Conference opposition for the second week running in Castleford Lock Lane.
There was no such fairytale for troubled Normanton who are recovering after a suspected arson attack damaged their clubhouse. Last week they knocked Wigan St Patricks out of the competition but Hunslet Warriors edged Normanton 14-8.
The results from todays ties are listed below:
Castleford Panthers 0 Thatto Heath 32
