New Year: New Blogging Year

Well, 2010 already.

A new decade is facing us and the old one freshly out of the door.

Just to give an idea of one of the things I'll be up to over the next few weeks, over on RLFans.com there is currently a thread for nominating a Leigh team of the noughties. On the first page is a list of eligible players. Yes, I know some players missed out on selection but I set a strict 15 game policy which surprisingly means even Toa Kohe-Love got a spot!

Here is the URL address for that: http://forums.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=440059, please visit and let me know your thoughts and then some time at the end of January we'll have a noughties team which will appear on the Leigh Centurions Official Website.

It is my hope to keep this blog a little more up to date than it has been previously but it would be fair to say from October I became very busy at work and was shall we say less prolific on the writing side.

By the time 31st December 2010 comes round, I hope there is a lot written here which will work in a similar way to Chris Irvine's look at rugby league, although mine will be a little bit more localised, mainly about Leigh with bits thrown in about Warrington and Widnes as I'll be seeing these teams a fair bit with my commitments to Radio General, Warrington Hospital's very own Radio Station. There will also be extracts from my articles for the Leigh East programme appearing on here, plus some bits from this season's Centurion programme and perhaps a couple of blasts from the past to entertain a new audience.

I look forward to bringing you this, so please keep your eyes peeled for updates which will appear via my Twitter account http://twitter.com/DParkyRL
