RL Comment - Mini sabatical

I'm taking a short break until next week when due to levels of internet coverage in France, I won't be posting anything.

Not that rugby league stops moving. It was interesting to read about Brendan Worth (Toulouse) and Richard Chapman (Hunslet) being banned.

Here in Toulouse most people look to be backing the local rugby union club although I have seen 3 posters in the Minimes district near Olympiques home advertising Friday night's game with Leigh, hence my reason for being in town. The trouble is, so are Stade Toulouse who play Racing Metro also on Friday night.

Another thing I'd like to comment on - well more like congratulate - is the style of Warrington's play this season. I was at the Wolves game with Wakefield last Friday and although I've not had chance to write a report on it, this was entertaining and although the Wolves bombed about 4 scoring chances, and had Ryan Atkins possible hat-trick wiped out by a curious decision, they still had more on Wakefield than the 32-16 score suggested.

I must pass big wraps onto Chris Riley. I know Warrington fans have mixed feelings about him but 10 tries so far and a hat-trick in his last game is not to be sniffed at!

Leigh were also very impressive in their 48-10 demolition of Halifax and there is a report of that game here: http://www.leighjournal.co.uk/sport/leighcenturions/5199187.Leigh_Centurions_run_riot_at_league_leaders_Halifax/

Anyway I shall be back next month!
